Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What's the difference between "Arm Stay" and "Arm Away"?

    keyboard_arrow_down

When you are arming your system for "Stay" only your perimeter protection (Door and Window sensors and Glassbreak detectors) are armed. When you arm for "Away", your perimeter and interior (motion sensors) are armed. Life safety devices, such as Smoke Detectors and Carbon Monoxide detectors, are always armed regardless if you system is armed to "Stay" or "Away".

  • When I am disarming my system through my app, which codes can I use?

    keyboard_arrow_down

Any of your 4 digit codes you've created for your alarm system, such as the Master Code and User codes, can be used to disarm your system.

  • Does the Duress code work in the application as well?

    keyboard_arrow_down

Yes. Once you enter in your Duress code, the system will disarm and send a silent alert to the monitoring station to contact authorities.

  • Can I arm my system from the application if a door or window is still open?

    keyboard_arrow_down

Yes, you will will receive an alert that the door or window is still open with the option to Bypass that sensor. Bypassing the open sensor means that sensor is not armed; though the rest of the system is still armed.

  • What does the "Delay" option on the app do?

    keyboard_arrow_down

This option allows you to arm the system with no entry delay so that if an intruder attempts to come in through a delay door after the system is armed, the siren will sound immediately instead of providing the normal timed delay and beeping first. The option is set for "no delay" if you see a line through the clock icon, or allows entry delay if the icon has no line through it. In either case, the exit delay will still be active for delay doors, allowing you to exit your residence safely within 30 seconds of arming your system.

  • I'd like to arm the system without any beeping. How can I do that?

    keyboard_arrow_down

You can arm the system with no beeps via the website, app, or panel. On the website, click the "Silent" icon to the right of the arm stay and arm away icons prior to arming. The system will arm with no beeps. On the app, click the "silent" icon underneath the arming icons prior to arming. The system will arm with no beeps. From the panel, press the silent button after pressing doors and windows (and motions, if desired).
