  • Does the system need to be plugged in at all times?

    Yes, though the system does have a backup battery in the case that the power goes out, it does need to be plugged in at all times.

  • Can the system be mounted on a wall?

    Absolutely, the desktop stand on the back of the system easily slides down and unsnaps to be removed. At that point there will be two mounting slots that you can hang the system with screws; similar to a photo or painting.

    No, the camera on the IQ2 panel does not have night vision.

  • How do I view my other cameras through my panel's screen?

    You can view any Alarm.com cameras through the panel's screen as long as the panel is connected to your Wi-Fi. To enable this feature, log into www.alarm.com using the same credentials as the application and select the "Video" tab. Then select "Settings" and you will see a "Steam Video to Security Panel Screen" option. From that page you can select which cameras you want to steam to the control panel's screen.

  • Can I upload my own photos to the alarm system to display?

    You can upload up to 20 photos onto the panel to display when it is not in use. To add photos, save your photos on to a Micro SD card in a folder called "Photos". Then .nsert your SD card into the slot on the side of the panel. Pull down the menu and select "Photo Frame" and then select "Add" and select all of the photos you want to add to the panel. Then wait at least 60 seconds after the photos have copied to remove the SD Card.

  • Can I view through the camera on the panel with my application?

    You are not able to view through or live stream the panel camera, however if the system is disarmed it will send you a snapshot of who disarmed it. Along with the disarm photos, if there is an alarm or break in, the system will record video for the duration of the alarm up to 4 minutes long.
