  • If my app is offline, can I still access my lock?

    The app must be online with the alarm system. For customers with Cellular alarm systems, the signal strength of the alarm system should be at least 14 for the lock to work consistently.

  • Is my lock under warranty?

    The Z-Wave Deadbolt locks are covered by a 1 year Mechanical and Finish warranty by the manufacturer.

  • Can I use a lock I purchased from someone else?

    keyboard_arrow_down

    As long as it is Z-Wave compatible and does not have a proprietary chip in it, we usually can enroll it in.

  • Can I re-key my lock?

    If it is a Kwikset lock, it can be re-keyed.

  • What happens if my panel is further than 20 feet from the door? Is there a way I can make it work?

    You can add an additional Z-Wave device to act as a repeater so your lock will work--such as a light and appliance module.

  • What is Protect America's digital lock return policy?

    Protect America will accept the return of Z-wave locks within the first 30 days of purchase for the following reasons: 1. Incorrect Color (can be exchanged). Lock must be in original condition (uninstalled). 2. Cancellation of Order/Account. Lock must be in original condition (unopened, uninstalled).Lock must be returned within 30 days from purchase date to be eligible for refund. Anything beyond the above reasons requires contact with the manufacturer for troubleshooting or replacement.   • I have to change my lock's batteries constantly. Is this normal?

    It could be that the bolt is binding and using excess battery power in repeated attempts to perform the command you are sending to it.
